Just a few thoughts from a simple girl as I try to plan a wedding amidst the craziness of my life...

About Me

My photo
I am 25 year old getting ready for our nuptials on May 01, 2010. I am currently a graduate student majoring in Occupational Therapy. I love to write and I love weddings (well I used to). I thought it would be a great way to blend a few of my loves into a blog. Sit back and enjoy while I attempt to juggle planning a wedding on a budget while doing schoolwork. So let the madness begin!!

Pretty Wedding Things

So I have been pretty happy these days. Last time I blogged I was sure that my wedding planner search had ended in epic failure. Thanks to my ever resourceful future SIL, I was referred to another wedding planner and so far she has been AMAZING! She has been on top of stuff and just knowing she is there has been a huge sigh of relief already. I pray that everything continues to go smoothly.

I love this cake, the flowers make a simple cake look breathtaking.

The gold wrap around the bouquet stem adds an unexpected pop of color to an already pretty scene. (Bloomsflowers.com)

The lace wrap around the stems adds a stark contrast to the pale flowers. Its a great way to add bits of personality in unexpected places. (Photo Credit: Jason Groupp Photography)

Here is a simple DIY project for you crafty bride to be's. Just attach a pretty farbric to an otherwise run of the mill notebook to tranform into an OOhh lala guest book! Its such a simple project that be can be done fairly quickly while hanging out at home and its an easy task to cross off that intimidatingly long to do list. Shudder. (Bluemagpieinvitations.com)
