Just a few thoughts from a simple girl as I try to plan a wedding amidst the craziness of my life...

About Me

My photo
I am 25 year old getting ready for our nuptials on May 01, 2010. I am currently a graduate student majoring in Occupational Therapy. I love to write and I love weddings (well I used to). I thought it would be a great way to blend a few of my loves into a blog. Sit back and enjoy while I attempt to juggle planning a wedding on a budget while doing schoolwork. So let the madness begin!!

Aisle Runners

One of the small details that I have neglected to think about is in regards to the aisle runner. Though it may seem insignificant, it is a big deal. It plays a pivotal role in the momentous entrance of the bride. Even so, I don't want to spend a lot of money because I can't remember ever looking at the aisle runner at previous weddings I've been to. I'm thinking of taking a trip to Michael's and purchasing a few initials to place on the runner myself. Just another DIY project for me to do.
Hopefully the church we get married in doesn't place too many restrictions on flowers because I like the idea of walking on rose petals. Lol.
Does anyone even know where to get aisle runners from? I personally have no idea but thank God for google!
Target is selling assorted white aisle runners for $35-$43
Linen TableCloth has white and ivory for $20-$30
Amazon.com has assorted aisle runners ranging from $10-$40
Ooh Ooh!! I just found this great website called Originalrunner.com where you can purchase aisle runners in all colors and with customized designs. Its sad how excited I just got, lol. They have some great pictures on their website.

I think aisle runners are beautiful, and really wish I could have one! I hope your church says that petals are OK, too. Ours won’t allow a runner or petals, because on their floor, the runner can wrinkle and cause people to trip. I can’t wait to see what you pick, and think it will be a great DIY project!
